DRIVE-BY DISCOVERY - TEXAS

Mixed Media on Wood

24” x 24”  |  61 cm x  61 cm

Obviously this painting was created to fit the 'Road Trip' theme for the artist competition of the Artist Project 2016. I am intimately familiar with this theme, my husband and I have made many road trips since we moved to this side of the pond. From classic road trips along route 66 from Dallas to San Francisco, to short trips from Montréal to New York or Toronto. For me a road trip is all about the unexpected discoveries, taking an exit to go for gas and finding something completely random and awesome, like this Campbells soup can by the side of the road in Eastland, TX.

This mixed media painting on wood is created using a combination of image transfer and acrylic paints and mediums. The artwork comes with a wire on the back for hanging, it is signed on the front and has title, date, artist name and a signed certificate of authenticity from the artist on the back.

Be advised that colors and brightness depend on your monitor and the digital picture may be slightly different from the original work of art.
