Vistas on the path of discovery

Leaving the Netherlands was a breeze. Japan didn’t scare me, America didn’t intimidate and Canada is as easy-going as it gets. The thing that frightens me, is creating Art.

For the longest time, I believed I was the master of my craft. I strode into my studio with confidence to create bodies of work like Traveling the World and World on Washi. In my bubble, I reigned supreme.

Then, one day I realized that the spaces I thought I controlled were fortified by the perceived expectations of the people around me. Their silent influence spawned countless rules, suffocating the artist within.

It dawned on me—I shouldn't be making the rules at all.

I have been creating Art for a decade and a half, and right now my studio in Canada is the most terrifying and exhilarating place to be. Inside, the Art decides the destination, where it leads I will follow.

An old man once told me: “It’s dangerous to go alone!” So, will you join me on this quest? Together we will explore ‘Unveiling’ a boundless realm of vibrant hues and delicate textures.

Step into my world, explore my art and meet the versions of myself I once knew.

Let's embark on an adventure of discovery.

FAQ

WHAT MATERIALS ARE USED TO CREATE THE ART?
These mixed-media paintings are created using a combination of mixed media and acrylics.

IS THE ARTWORK SIGNED?
Yes, all original artworks are signed on the front in the lower right corner. They also have their title, date, artist name and a signed certificate of authenticity on the back.

WILL THE PAINTING BE READY TO HANG?
Yes, all artwork on wood panel and canvas is ready to hang,
most have a wire on the back or, for larger pieces a set of eyelets that enable flush mounting (flush mounting is highly recommended for pieces larger than 48”x36”). My paintings are not framed but the sides are painted white so they show beautifully without a frame. If you prefer to have it framed I can arrange that for you but that will add to the cost, which I can quote for you. Because framing adds weight and volume during shipping you may prefer to have your local framer do the work. during my

HOW MUCH DOES SHIPPING COST?
If you’re in the Toronto area and you add a piece to your collection before the end of June, you will be able to pick up your painting at Latitude 44 Gallery during my solo exhibition which will take place in July, just make sure you select ‘Pickup’ at checkout! This also goes for my collectors in Montréal who wish to make the drive to my studio in Saint Jerome to pick up their pieces.

Worldwide shipping is available. Artworks are shipped through courier or freight depending on the size. I offer free shipping for orders over $2500. For orders under $2500, the following rates apply in Canada: $100 flat fee. USA: $125-200 depending on the size of your package. The rest of the world: $250-500 depending on the size of your package.

I LOVE YOUR ARTWORK BUT NOT SURE I CAN AFFORD IT RIGHT NOW. DO YOU OFFER A PAYMENT PLAN?
Absolutely! It is very important to me that you can add the piece you fell in love with to your collection, when it comes to purchasing art you should not have to make concessions. That is why the Artist Abroad is always happy to offer a payment plan that fits your situation. When full payment has been made the artwork will be delivered to you.

IS THERE A GUARANTEE? WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE IT IN PERSON OR THE PAINTING IS NOT RIGHT FOR MY SPACE? CAN I RETURN IT?
Yes, I guarantee that if you are not satisfied with your artwork you can return your purchase within 30 days of the sale. Returns of artwork will always be accepted within the 30-day time frame if the artwork is in its original condition. The total cost of the artwork (excluding shipping costs) will be refunded if the artwork is returned in the same condition that it was sent within 30 days of purchase.

Refunds will be issued upon receipt and acceptance of the artwork. Refunds will not be possible for works that have been damaged or have deteriorated due to incorrect display. Please note that the buyer is responsible for all return shipping and insurance fees, and there are no refunds on return shipping and insurance fees paid for by the buyer who returns the purchase.
